Screed works

Floor screed is a cementitious material made from 1:3 ration of cement to sharp sand. It can be applied on a solid in-situ concrete slab or precast concrete floor unit.

Depending on the required thickness, screed can be bonded directly to the subbase or un-bonded on a suitable damp-proof membrane applied over the slab. It may also be laid as a floating finish over a layer of rigid insulation material.

The finishing process requires a powerfloat machine in order to obtain a smooth surface.
